Affiliate for newbie

When you enter affiliate marketing as a novice it can be somewhat daunting and a bit risky to your wallet to say the least. The multitude of possibilities and the bureaucratic and technical nature of setting up affiliations can be off putting to the novice and render them into a paralyzed state of inaction and fear.(I'm speaking from experience!) Affiliation basically means you become a middle man between the company or product and the customer. You direct the customer to that company or product and gain a commission if they buy or join. How do you do that? Well, buy advertising your affiliate links, which are given to you by the company you join. Your links lead the customer to your landing page or the companies website.Obviously the more traffic you send the more chance of making money.
To the uninitiated there is quite a lot to marketing, a lot to learn. You have to learn how to advertise by using ppc (pay per click advertising) on Google, Yahoo and MSN. This is a very effective way to build residual income and down line , however it can be both expensive and in affective if you don't know what you're doing. You'll have to learn about keywords, landing pages etc. There are other methods, many free to advertise your links e. g blogs, article writing, traffic exchanges, forums and social media.
The first thing you must do is look past all the get rich quick schemes and they're easy to identify i.e. promise you large amounts of money which is gained with little effort. I really wish that it was true, but it isn't. Ideally you need to find a program that guides you step by step, offers guidance and support and training and inter grates many income streams. There are several good programs out there which do this, so how do you identify them amongst the less interesting ones? Well I did it the hard way i. e doing a bit of research about the companies included in various programs.
One that ticks all the correct boxes and that appears to work well is the Rich Report. Essentially acting as a funnel or like a front door. Once somebody joins they advertise this program or, "front door," and people come in. Here they are offered step by step advice to follow and are recommended 3 or 4 good companies to join as affiliates, such as GVO and GDI both proven affiliate programs. The marketing training seems to be very effective including both paid and free tried and tested advertising methods. Once the ads are up and running the hard works done and it's a case of monitoring, tweaking and Earning! So the program effectively acts as a funnel channeling leads to your various affiliations. I wish I had discovered programs like this at the beginning and would have saved myself a lot of time , trouble and money!
Another program that integrates other affiliations is Acme people search. Again Gvo and GDI are offered as well as 6 other affiliations such as ClickBank. The training is different to the New Rich Report , revolving around what appears to be a very good forum where members help each other.
My advice is take things step by step and don't jump in without due consideration. You really can create residual income through MLM or affiliate marketing. You really can earn enough to work from home, however this won't happen overnight regardless of the promises you will run into on the net. For a more in-depth look at some of the programs out there, have a look at this blog which also has links to many free resources.
